Have you ever thought, "I wish I knew how to dance"?

Well, here is your chance to learn.

Come build a loving relationship with your body through somatics, conditioning, choreography and improvisation. This beginner-oriented class builds strength, coordination and confidence, in that order, over ninety minutes of good music.

Questions people ask

I have never danced. Is this really for me?

Yes. The class is built for people who have never taken one. We start with how to stand and breathe, we warm up slowly, and the choreography is simple enough that you will have it by the end of the class. Nobody is watching you. Everyone is busy with their own feet.

What should I wear and bring?

Anything you can move in. Bare feet, socks, or soft shoes. Bring water. That is the whole list.

Can I drop in on one Saturday, or do I have to take the series?

Drop in whenever you like for $25. The series is $125 for all the dates, which works out cheaper if you plan to come to most of them, and the classes build on each other a little, but every class stands on its own.

Is the room accessible?

Attack Theatre is a working dance studio with a sprung floor. If you have access needs of any kind, mobility, sensory, anything, call or text Robin before your first class and we will work out what the room needs to do for you. All bodies means all bodies.

Where is it and where do I park?

Attack Theatre, 212 45th St, Pittsburgh, PA 15201, in Lawrenceville. There is street parking on 45th and the surrounding blocks. Arrive ten minutes early the first time so you can find the door.

The flyer says 1 to 3 pm and 90 minutes. Which is it?

The class itself runs 90 minutes. The room is ours from 1 to 3, so there is time to arrive, change, and not rush out. Come at 1.
